Christopher T. Hill

Christopher T. Hill practices in the areas of construction litigation, intellectual property litigation, insurance defense and general commercial litigation.

Mr. Hill is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received degrees from the College of Engineering (B.S.I.E., cum laude, 1987) and College of Law (J.D. 1990). Mr. Hill was a member of the UF Moot Court Team and also received a teaching fellowship for the Appellate Advocacy program.  Mr. Hill was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990 and is also a member of the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Ninth and Eleventh District Courts of Appeal. He is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Hill was voted “Best of the Bar” in 2004 for the area of litigation in a survey of Central Florida attorneys.  He is “AV” rated by Martindale Hubbell.  He also served as the Chairman of the Business Litigation Section of the Orange County Bar Association in 2006.

Mr. Hill brings more than 19 years of experience to the firm and has successfully tried a wide variety of cases to jury verdict and has successfully pursued appeals in both state and federal courts.  Mr. Hill has been in the vanguard of Internet litigation, litigating several early domain name disputes and the landmark Internet jurisdiction decision of Cybersell v. Cybersell.  In his practice, Mr. Hill has represented numerous companies and insurers, including Anheuser-Busch, The Home Depot, Cox Enterprises, Dow Chemical Co., American Insurance Group, The Hartford, The Travelers Ins. Group, Old Dominion Trucking, Central Florida Educational Foundation (Z88.3), St. Paul Fire and Marine, Mercury Insurance, Westfield Insurance and Tower Hill Insurance Group, as well as numerous other Central Florida businesses. Kenneth B. Rugh

Kenneth B. Rugh is an “AV” rated attorney and works in the firm’s Orlando office. His practice focuses on insurance defense, including premises liability and products liability. Mr. Rugh is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.S. 1991) and Stetson University College of Law (J.D. cum laude, 1995) where he was an editor of The Stetson Law Review.

Mr. Rugh has more than 13 years of experience in representing insurance companies and their insureds throughout Florida. He regularly presents at seminars and writes articles on various topics dealing with insurance defense litigation.

Mr. Rugh was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995; U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, 1996; U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida, 1999. Mr. Rugh is a graduate of University of Florida (B.S. 1991); Stetson University College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1995). Associate Editor, Stetson Law Review. Member, The Florida Bar, Orange County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and American Bar Association.

Mr. Rugh has written “Law Review Note: Casa Clara: An Overview of Florida's Economic Loss Rule 1995,” “Florida's Premises Liability Manual (c)1998,” and “Mold Litigation in Florida.”

Congressman Ric Keller

Congressman Ric Keller works in the firm’s Orlando office. He practices in the areas of theme park liability, products liability, premises liability, commercial litigation, and strategic governmental consulting. Congressman Keller represented the Greater Orlando area in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2001 to January 2009. He served on the Judiciary and Education Committees. As a former member of the Intellectual Property and Commercial Law Subcommittees, he brings a unique level of expertise to the firm’s intellectual property and commercial practice. He has successfully tried numerous cases in state and federal courts. Congressman Keller received a bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University (B.S., summa cum laude, 1986) where he graduated first in his class, and his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School (J.D., 1992).

Steven R. Main

Steven R. Main practices in the firm's Orlando office and practices in the areas of general commercial litigation, products liability, insurance coverage disputes, and insurance defense litigation. Mr. Main has also successfully defended claims involving professional malpractice and catastrophic personal injuries.

Mr. Main is a graduate of Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada (B.Comm 1995) and Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D. 1998). He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998; United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, 1998; United States District Court, Northern District of Florida, 1999; United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, 1999; United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, 2000. Mr. Main has been involved in appellate proceedings before the Fourth and Fifth District Courts of Appeals, as well as the Court of Appeal for the Eleventh Circuit.

In law school, Mr. Main was a member of the National Trial Team that successfully competed at both the regional and national level. He also received the Robert Goldberg award for excellence in trial advocacy. Mr. Main is a member of the Florida and Orange County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Young Lawyer's Division of the Florida Bar.

Scott L. Reed

Scott L. Reed is an associate in the firm’s Orlando office. Mr. Reed practices in the areas of general commercial litigation and insurance defense litigation. He is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.A. 1990) and the University of Florida Levin College of Law (J.D. 1994). Mr. Reed is admitted to the Florida Bar and the Middle District of Florida. Mr. Reed is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association.

John D. Martin

John D. Martin practices commercial, construction, and insurance defense litigation and appeals, where he advises clients and litigates various forms of contractual disputes, professional and commercial negligence claims, and actions for personal injury, including premises liability and wrongful death claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Martin clerked for the Honorable Mary S. Scriven, United States District Court Judge for the Middle District of Florida and practiced corporate, securities, and private equity law at a large, international firm in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Martin is an honor graduate of Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts (B.F.A. 1995), and he received his law degree with honors from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. (J.D. 2007). While attending law school, Mr. Martin served as an assistant editor for the Catholic University Law Review and interned at the United States Department of Justice in its Civil and Environmental and Natural Resources Divisions.

He is admitted to the Florida Bar (2008), the District of Columbia Bar (2009), the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida (2010); and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (2011). He is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Florida Bar.
